The Sacramento Region Community Foundation established the Big Day of Giving in 2013 to inspire philanthropic giving. Since that time, $78,000,000 has been raised. This year, more than 700  charitable organizations are registered as potential recipients of donations from April 20th through May 4th. The Capitol Pops Concert Band is one of 98 music organizations asking for your generous assistance. We typically perform three concerts in the spring and three more in the fall. Donating online is suggested, by credit or debit card, but donations received by check are also accepted.  There are also prizes and gifts available to boost the amount of your donation. For instance, Golden1 Credit Union will proportionally match up to $100,000 when their members make a donation using their debit or credit card.
